May 2019 will mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of Sansum Diabetes Research Institute (SDRI) by Dr. William Sansum, the first American physician to manufacture and administer life-saving insulin to a US patient right here in Santa Barbara. To commemorate this milestone and the advances SDRI has made in research, education, care, pediatrics, and pregnancy for those impacted by diabetes we are planning our first-ever Gala to celebrate SDRIs accomplishments. The Gala will include a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, live music, and dancing in celebration of the 75th anniversary.
