A Legacy of Stone, an original musical reimagining Medusa’s tale, will debut on April 19, 2026, at 7 p.m. at UC Santa Barbara’s Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall.
Admission is free to the public, with a reception held after the performance.
Written, composed and directed by Chelsea-Cameron Hastings, a third year music composition student at UC Santa Barbara, A Legacy of Stone reexamines Medusa’s narrative by exploring her humanity and the events that led to her transformation.
The abbreviated version of the musical features an all-star cast of UC Santa Barbara students, accompanied by a live student orchestra and student-led tech team.
