2ND FRIDAYS ART @ SANTA BARBARA TENNIS CLUB“Aquatic” encompasses interpretations from a simple glass of water to complex environmental concerns, as well as waterscapes, water sports, a dive in the pool, a day at the beach, fish, aquatic wildlife and anything else you can imagine. Abstract and representational works are both welcome in this show, along with all wall hung mediums including: oil, acrylic, collage, photography and mixed media.
JUROR of AWARDS:
Paige Patterson Wilson
Accomplished Santa Barbara artist and oil painter Wilson was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She received a BA in Painting and Printmaking from San Francisco State University in 1979, studying with photo-realistic painter Robert Bechtle. She then attended UCSB and received an MFA in Painting in 1982. She has exhibited widely and can be found in private collections throughout the West Coast. Wilson continues to paint while also teaching privately at her Santa Barbara studio and through SBCC’s School of Extended Learning.
ENTRY DEADLINE: June 1st
NOTIFICATION: By June 3rd
BEST OF SHOW: 3-Month Membership at the S B Tennis Club.
EXHIBIT DATES: June 8th-July 3rd
RECEPTION & AWARDS: June 14th 4:30 - 6:00pm.
IN-GATHERING: June 6th, 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm and June 7th, 7:15 am.
PICK UP: July 4th, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.
GUIDELINES FOR CONTEST: No pedestal works can be accepted.• Artwork may not exceed 28”x 28”x 10” deep, including framing. Submissions- 72 DPI J-peg. Title images with: your name, title, medium, framed size, retail price. JPG’s emailed to: susantibbles@yahoo.com with Aquatic in the subject bar. Entry Fee: $35.00 first image, additional images $5.00 each. PayPal invoice will follow your submissions.It is not necessary to have a PayPal account, PayPal accepts credit cards.
GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED WORKS:
Artwork must be properly wired, with eye screws or D-rings. Saw-tooth brackets will not be accepted.
All works shall be for sale. Standard gallery splits 60% to artist 40% to gallery.
Only quality frames will be accepted. Black or neutral frames are preferred.
Prints on Aluminum and panel are acceptable.
Giclee’s on canvas will not be accepted.
