Port, Starboard & Sails: A Hands-On Boating Adventure is a fun, family-friendly World Boating Day event at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum on May 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In collaboration with Sail to Shelter, children will build boats from reclaimed materials, add handmade sails, and learn boating basics like port and starboard, parts of a boat, and different types of vessels.
