If you know someone who takes care of nature and has a positive impact in a school or classroom, this is your chance to celebrate their efforts by nominating them for an Explore Ecology Award honoring teachers, students, and classes or clubs in Santa Barbara County!
There are three award categories:
- Teacher or School Staff Award: Recognizing educators who inspire environmental awareness and action. Two awards for grades K to 6th and 7th to 12th.
- Class or Club Award: Honoring a class or school club making a positive impact on the environment. Open to grades K to 12th.
- Student Award: Celebrating students committed to caring for the environment. Two awards for grades K to 6th and 7th to 12th.
Submit your nominations at this link: https://exploreecology.org/environmental-stewardship-awards/ and share your story of the deserving individual or group. Self nominations are welcome.
Winners will be honored at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival on April 28th.
