Join us at the Ojai Art CenterFebruary 10th at 6:00PM for a Musical evening 'from Berditchev to Broadway' featuring the world renowned Cantor A.L. Hurwitz and Reb Doniel on the piano. Cantor Hurwitz is a soloist and performer from Brooklyn, NY whose brilliant voice has been featured all over the world. His musical repertoire consists of many melodic genres and songs in a variety of languages. His lyric tenor voice has earned him a scholarship to the Belz School of Jewish Music and has been trained with legendary cantors including Joseph Malovany. Reb Doniel graduated with honors from Princeton University and was awarded the Isidore and Helen Sacks Memorial Prize for Musical Performance. He was recently the pianist accompanist for the LA Jewish Childrens Choir and is devoted to engaging with Jewish music in a creative way. Doniel has a great passion for teaching up-and-coming Jewish musicians, which is culminating in a new project on the web called Make Jewish Music.
