The Theatre Group at SBCC presents a new play, GEORGE AND EMILY GET MARRIED, by Rick Mokler, April 12-29 in the Jurkowitz Theatre.
George and Emily Get Married re-examines “Love and Marriage” through a contemporary lens. Gentle, insightful, romantic, and complete with an onstage wedding reception that includes the audience, the play chronicles George and Emily’s wedding day from beginning to end, with a flashback to a critical day in their past and a side trip to a lecture on the history of marriage.
Directed by Rick Mokler, George, and Emily Get Married will feature Paul Canter, Robert Moris Castillo, Addison Clarke, Tom Hinshaw, DD Howard, Tony Miratti, Nancy Nufer, Emma Roybal, and Nicholis Sheley.
Performances will be April 12-29, 2023 in the Jurkowitz Theatre on SBCC’s West Campus, 900 blocks of Cliff Dr. Performance times are Wednesday through Saturday @ 7:30 pm, Sundays 4/16 & 4/23 at 2 pm, Saturday matinees 4/22 & 4/29 @ 2 pm. The Sunday, 4/16 2 pm performance will be live-captioned for the hearing-impaired. The Jurkowitz Theatre is wheelchair accessible and has assisted listening. Due to its intimate nature, No Late Seating is permitted.
