Goleta Valley Jr. High Theatre presents SpongeBob the Musical, set in the whimsical world of Bikini Bottom. The talented teen performers will be accompanied by a live orchestra, bringing to life an upbeat musical score written by an eclectic mix of beloved artists, including Aerosmith, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, John Legend, Sara Bareilles, David Bowie and many more. Based on the hit Nickelodeon animated series, this vibrant, critically acclaimed production promises to bring joy to audiences of all ages with its heartwarming message of the power of teamwork, the importance of community, and staying hopeful in times of uncertainty.
Shows are Thursday April 17th at 7pm; Friday April 18th at 7pm; and Saturday April 19th at 2pm. Starting at 12:30 on Saturday, young audience members can enjoy free art and science activities on ocean themes, led by local elementary school students and their UCSB student teachers. Performances take place at Goleta Valley Junior High, 6100 Stow Canyon Road, in Goleta. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and FREE for elementary age and younger.
