PRESENTING from NOW until APRIL 15, 2025 a NEW MAIN EXHIBIT: “MAN’S INHUMANITY TOWARDS MAN”
The Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum of Santa Barbara has a new exhibit of manuscripts that chronicle Man’s Inhumanity Towards Man – crucial historical documents that illuminate the darker aspects of human behavior and societal structures. These manuscripts remind us that the fight against inhumanity is ongoing and that understanding history is essential for fostering a more compassionate and just world – ensuring that the lessons of the past are not forgotten. We invite you to engage thoughtfully with the exhibits presented here and to learn from history.
The Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum of Santa Barbara proudly takes its place as the Dean of the Karpeles Institutions. The Museum has played an important role in the educational and cultural life of the Santa Barbara area. The items on permanent display in the Museum include “The Documentary Birth of America Archive,” the “Torah Exhibit,” the “Jurassic Park Exhibit,” handwritten scores by a dozen leading composers; and houses the “computer guidance system used in the Apollo 11 Lander’s flight to the moon.”
The Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, located at 21 W. Anapamu St. in Santa Barbara, California, is open and free to the public Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Closed on Mondays). (805-962-5322)
