Laura Hughes started Loubud in 2015 in with 1 ton of Pinot Noir from Cebada Vineyard in Santa Barbara County. With 1 ton she made 1 barrel of Rosé of Pinot noir and 1 barrel of base wine for Blanc de Noirs. Her vision at the time, and still is to this day, is to produce the best sparkling wine (think Champagne!) from Santa Barbara fruit. From that initial 50cs in vintage 2015, Laura has sold out year after year, and is now a "big girl" sparkling wine company with 500cs in downtown Santa Barbara!
Join her and the Loubud family at their darling tasting room on June 7th, 11am-2pm, for special sparkling flights, live acoustic guitar and delicious Mediterranean faire by Zaytoon.
At noon Laura will saber some bottles and toast to 10 incredible years of making bubbly in SB County!
