The Mark Alvarado Trio plays The Patio at the Uptown Lounge every Friday for Happy Hour from 5:30 to 7:30.
The Mark Alvarado Trio has been holding down this weekly gig for 17 months straight. The trio features former horn man for Rick James, Daniel "Blow Danny" LeMelle. Danny came out of Motown camp in the mid 70's and has also played for the Temptations, Tina Marie, Mary Jane Girls and was the music director for New Edition during their popularity. On bass guitar, Brian J. Fox brings his years of playing a variety of styles that compliment Alvarado's original music and a library of standards that draws from Blues, Country, Soul, Tex Mex and Reggae. Alvarado uses his rich tenor to carve out strong renditions that he also uses as the foundation for his original songs.
The Uptown Lounge Patio features a full service bar, wood burning pizza oven and other tasty food to satisfy your hunger.
