Jury Competition 2024
2nd Fridays Art is pleased to announce our annual juried exhibition
Nip it in the Bud.
Nip it in the Bud is not just another way to spell Flower. This annual juried competition tickles the senses presenting work in multiple media from over thirty artists. Attend this exhibit and enter a metaphorically scented garden of floral perspectives. The concept of flower here runs from the abstract to the sublime with color, drama and layers of meaning.
JUROR of AWARDS:
Veronica Walmsley
Born in England the artist moved to the USA in 1971, received a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and earned an MFA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1981. Walmsley has exhibited in juried shows, invitational exhibitions and has won numerous awards. She is a member of Western Edge, based in Santa Barbara, a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association, Abstract Art Collective and the Goleta Valley Art Association.
