It's often assumed that eating plant-based is expensive but we'll show you how simple, healthy and inexpensive it can truly be. Lentils are inexpensive, easy to cook, nutritious & versatile and especially delicious when you have a few good recipes up your sleeve!

Join us, virtually, as our resident Plant-Based Pro Emma Malina is joined by Lompoc-based Chef, Baker and Educator Lauren Requenez as they explore the basics of cooking lentils and the vast and varied ways they can be used in the kitchen.

Plant-Based on a Budget: Lentils! is presented by Rooted Santa Barbara County. Rooted is a local nonprofit with the mission to optimize community health through whole food plant-based nutrition education and support.
