Where: Carrillo Rec Center: 100 East Carrillo Street, Santa Barbara, CA

When: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesdays until September 24.
FIRST CLASS FREE - $10 after thatTired of being a wallflower? Join local organizers Ale and Chris to discover Argentine Tango. This class quickly teaches the essentials, so you can confidently dance in tango locally in Santa Barbara, and in halls worldwide. One hour class followed by Practica.

Argentine tango is a passionate and intricate dance that originated in the late 19th century in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay. It's characterized by its close embrace, fluid movements, and deep emotional connection between partners.
Close Embrace: Chest-to-chest connection for subtle communication. Improvisation: No fixed sequences; each dance is unique. Musicality: Dancers follow the rhythm and mood of the music. Walking: Smooth, gliding steps are the foundation. Figures: Includes moves like ochos, boleos, and ganchos. Connection: Deep emotional bond between partners.
