The Fund for Santa Barbara was established in 1980 as a unique resource for progressive grassroots organizing in Santa Barbara County.
The FUND’s mission is to advance progressive change by strengthening movements for social, political, economic and environmental justice. To achieve this, The FUND makes grants, builds capacity, nurtures coalitions, influences philanthropy, and develops movement leadership.
Since its inception 40 years ago, The FUND has given more than $8 million to local grassroots community-based organizations.
