Jane Olson served as an Observer for Human Rights Watch, International, and was deployed to conflict zones and humanitarian crises all over the world. Her powerful interviews and photographs shined a spotlight for the world to see the human rights violations taking place, and spur corrective action. She chaired the International Board of Trustees of Human Rights Watch, International from 2004 to 2010, and served as co-chair of the Women's Refugee Commission. As a founding member of Landmine Survivors Network / Survivor Corps, she provided leadership for over 12 years. Jane is an incredible humanitarian, an inspiration, and solid proof that one woman CAN make an enormous difference.
