The Santa Ynez Valley Wind Ensemble (www.syvwindensemble.org) invites you and your family to be part of a captivating musical experience on Sunday, March 27th, at 2 pm at the Bethania Lutheran Church in Solvang.
Directed by Maestra Sharon Jeskey, selections performed will span across a myriad of musical genres. Pieces include “Jazz It Up”, an upbeat jazz medley, “Chiapanecas”, an audience-immersive Mexican folk dance song, and “A Nordic Trilogy”, a three-movement gem perfectly fit for a Solvang venue.
This dedicated 30-piece group of local musicians has been performing for the Santa Ynez Valley for nearly three decades, thanks to the generous donations of various community members and organizations. Concert admission and refreshments are always free of charge.
Musicians who might be interested in joining the ensemble may visit a rehearsal, held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM at the Los Olivos Community Organization (LOCO) Hall. We invite musicians young and old, and no audition is required. Inquire with Lea Fainer at syvwindensemble@gmail.com.
