Veterans from Santa Barbara County are invited to a Veterans Stand Up on Friday, July 19, from 10am to 2pm in the Santa Barbara Veterans Memorial Building at 112 W. Cabrillo Blvd. We’re honoring and thanking Veterans who stepped forward when asked to serve and defend their country.
Our registration process and meetings with VA and over 19 Veteran Service Organizations for benefits, information, and giveaways begins at 10am, our program begins at 11am.
Free lunch is provided at noon, followed by more interfaces with the VA and Veteran Support Organizations to assist veterans getting their benefits and opportunities. We will have specialists who can help with such things as filing VA claims, providing information about the PACT Act, medical and mental health care, employment, housing, education, legal assistance, recreation, vocational training, Honor Flights, VA home loans, family care, senior care, and counseling.
