Join students from the Environmental Affairs Board at UCSB and elders from the Society of Fearless Grandmothers-Santa Barbara to create colorful street art near the Metro Four Theatre, 618 State Street, during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The family friendly event, “Waves of Change,” will bring attention to the impact of climate change on the world’s oceans, including our own beautiful coastline. The public is invited to add their favorite ocean creatures and activities to the street drawings. Although the art will be celebratory, the message is also serious, highlighting some important facts about climate change and ocean health. If it rains on Sunday, the event will be rescheduled to Saturday, February 17 from 11 to 2.
