What is a Fix-It Fair?
A Fix-It Fair is a free volunteer run community event that diverts waste from landfills and challenges our linear view of waste. It encourages the repair and reuse of goods rather than replacement. It's a free event at which students will get help mending broken or torn items, rather than throwing them away. As Isla Vista works towards a more sustainable future, we are inspiring our community to think differently and maybe even learn how to repair items themselves!
We are combining the our Fix It Fair with a local Farmers Market AND $30 and under thrifted clothing market for a fabulous community event in Isla Vista. We hope to see you join us!
