Art, Design & Architecture Museum, UC Santa Barbara

Set on UCSB's ocean side campus, the AD&A Museum offers rotating exhibits from well-known artists and a collection of fine art and photography. The fine art collection features the Morgenroth Collection of Renaissance Medals and Plaquettes, the Fernand Lungren Collection, the Sedgwick Collection of Old Master Paintings, and much more. The photography exhibit showcases a collection of vintage daguerreotypes, tintypes, and ambrotypes from 1840-1880. The Architecture and Design Collection, however, is the real jewel of the museum as one of the largest design archives in North America. The archives include Californian architecture from the late 19th to mid 20th centuries from world-renowned architects and even the archives of George Washington Smith and Lutah Maria Riggs.
