Restaurant
NU, meaning "naked", strips away any preconceived notions you may have about dining. Restaurant NU offers California cuisine with old European influence marked by an emphasis on seasonal local ingredients, creativity and classical technique.

Nu is housed in a beautifully designed and architecturally attractive turn of the century building. With its spacious and luxuriant courtyard it is one of the premier entertaining sites in Santa Barbara.

The courtyard with its stylish flagstone, relaxing fountain and plush palm trees lends itself to graceful wedding receptions, cocktail parties, formal dinners and wine tasting.

Dinner is offered Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.; and
Friday & Saturday from 5:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Cocktails, after dinner drinks
and lighter fare are available in the Bar and Lounge, Monday through Sunday,
5:00 P.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Our Staff

David Cecchini, Proprietor/Executive Chef
David was the Executive Chef at Wine Cask for 9 years and has extensive experience in menu design, food pairings and culinary flair. He has been invited on two occasions to cook at the celebrated James Beard house in New York City.

Leslie was General Manager and Coordinator for Wine Cask Restaurant and Catering for nine years and brings a strong design element to every table and event with exquisite style and elegant flair.

Our cuisine celebrates each season's most glorious ingredients and reveals their delicious
flavors. Whether you are planning a simple three-course luncheon or an elaborate six-course
dinner, Chef David Cecchini would be delighted to create a custom menu for you and your
guests chosen from a delectable selection of canapes, hot and cold appetizers, main courses
and sumptuous desserts. Nu's menu is eclectic with a combination of California cuisine and
subtle European influence.
