Santa Barbara Hillel is your Jewish home away from home in Isla Vista. Students here primarily attend UCSB and Santa Barbara City College, and we are part of a world-wide organization of Jewish college students.
There is no one kind of “Hillel Jew.” We are religious and non-religious, ball-players and musicians, traditionalists and liberals, Democrats and Republicans, and Zionists. We come from Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Israel, Iran, Russia, and everywhere in-between. Some of us are straight and some are gay. Our skin is brown, white, black and golden.
We are as diverse as the human race, but we share a rich, proud past…and we want you to join us!
