AHA! (Attitude. Harmony. Achievement.)
Through an innovative, experiential curriculum and with a high ratio of skilled facilitators per student, participants will build social-emotional awareness, knowledge, and understanding; participate in a supportive and positive peer community; engage in arts and outdoor activities; and learn to understand their “teen brains,” earn money and/or community service credits, and have fun. Groups include: Creative Group, Ally Group, Girls’ and Guys’ Groups, Peace BuildersAfter-School, and Music Group. A mandatory fall orientation will be held Saturday, September 29, 10 a.m.-noon. Girls Inc. of Greater S.B. Teen Program
The Girls Inc. Teen Center is the after-school place for teens in grades 7+ this fall. This pro-girl environment focuses on leadership development, community engagement, college prep, and STEM activities, plus daily homework assistance.Mon.-Fri., starting Aug. 20, school release time–6pm.
