I was delighted to learn that Bob Field has announced that he will be running for the vacancy on the Board of Supervisors for the 3rd District. I can't think of a more qualified, competent, and gracious individual to lead the district in the future on so many complex issues confronting this district and the board.
Field has already assumed a leadership role in the development of the Valley Community Plan, the protection of the Gaviota Coast, and protecting neighborhoods against intrusive and expansionist business plans.
Bob uses his high energy and professional wisdom to navigate the challenging issues of the day with a cheerful yet careful analysis, an insightful knowledge of how things work, and carefully decides on a course of action. He will win his constituency over by his articulated analysis.
