Cut Snake DJ at EOS Lounge Tonight

We The Beat hosts Aussie dance duo

Hold on to your sunnies, mate! The Aussies are coming to put the bass in your face! We The Beat presents Cut Snake to perform at EOS this Friday, October 23 and these guys are bringing straight up beats that will reverberate your vertebrae, make your back whip lash, and, like the lyrics of their single “Maybe Why Not,” they’ll be asking the club to “get freaky c’mon.” The Independent caught up with Paul Fisher, one of the mad scientists behind the deep-house duo to talk about their new E.P. “Life is a Beach,” and to maybe get an inkling of just how insane this party is going to be.

Cut Snake has been together for ten years and started as creative project between Paul Fisher and Leigh Sedley, two pro surfers with a passion for music, partying and surfing. Their music certainly reminds the listener of an endless summer in Indonesia — expect to enjoy warm, thumping bass, ambient 80’s hooks, and a bit of humidity from the dance floor.

Fisher is known to be the life of the party for his obscene pranks and his boisterous personality in the surfing world, but now their music is being taken a bit more seriously, garnering acclaim in the electronic music world. The band has signed to a big label with Warner Brother Records and has recently been touring the country.
