Goleta Warned to Evacuate Robin Hill Road

[UPDATE] After closing overnight, Santa Barbara airport reopened Saturday morning.

[UPDATE: FEB. 18] As of 7:30 a.m., the Santa Barbara airport is back in business, said Lynn Houston, airport spokesperson. Travelers should check with their airline for up-to-date flight information, she suggested, and a live flight schedule is at FlySBA.com.

[UPDATE] The Santa Barbara Municipal Airport has stated via a tweet that the commercial runways have flooded and that the airport is closed. The city confirms that about 1,000 feet of the western portion of the main commercial runway was covered with water, causing the airport to cancel all flights. Flights may resume Saturday morning, but check @SBAirport for more. Roads to airport businesses and tenants are also closed, as is a lane of Hollister Avenue.
