Where is the planning for all this new growth? Haven’t the local politicians learned anything from our previous droughts? Are we to rely on the iffy Santa Barbara desal plant? Will this aid the Goleta Water District? Or have all you politicians just perfected your "rain dance"?
Let’s get serious – where is the planning for the future? Catchuma is almost dry, our wells are almost dry, and even when they are full, they were only designed for the population of 1966! Nothing has changed, just the population. We have become a builder’s paradise with growth everywhere — and soon to look like the L.A. area. Has anyone thought about what all these new residents will drink, shower, and flush with?
