New Climate Report

The latest climate update from the United Nations comes from a scientific working group with a name as daunting as the information its members convey: the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Their 2021 report came out ahead of the next global meeting in November in Scotland. Climate change is widespread, rapid, and intensifying, the report says, giving the physical science basis for the unfolding phenomenon.

More easily digested than the nearly 4,000-page report is a quick video summary by Miriam Nielsen, a k a zentouro, posted here. Nielsen notes:

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change just released their latest assessment report on the physical science basis of climate change. If the last few reports are any indication, we're hopefully going to see a groundswell of climate action — here are my highlights of the report and a bit about how you can use its information to fight the climate crisis.
