The Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer. Its tenacious and optimistic executive director is Lindsey Leonard, who has a long history in our community for looking after the well-being of young children. In 2008, for instance, she was named one of The Santa Barbara Independent’s Local Heroes for her hard work at the Westside Santa Barbara Boys and Girls Club.
On June 3, the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation will host its inaugural Little Heroes Breakfast at the Montecito Country Club, where the keynote speaker will be Melinda Marchiano, a former TBCF recipient and nationally recognized cancer awareness advocate.
