Five types of the nuts could possibly be tainted with Salmonella .

Fans of Trader Joe’s brand walnuts should check their purchases before indulging, as five varieties have been recalled for potential Salmonella contamination. The store voluntarily removed the products from its shelves after samples tested positive for the bacteria. No illnesses have been tied to the nuts; symptoms of Salmonella poisoning include fever, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.

Consumers with any of the following packages of the walnuts should throw them away or take them back to the store for a refund.
