One motorcyclist from Bakersfield was arrested on drug charges and another was arrested on an active arrest warrant in New Cuyama on Saturday. Two more Bakersfield bikers were cited for weapon charges in the town that same day.
On Saturday, Sheriff’s deputies had showed up to the Cuyama Buckhorn restaurant on Highway 166 to keep tabs on its first anniversary party, which Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kelly Hoover said, “was expected to draw participants from several outlaw motorcycle gangs.”
At the “Buckhorn Shindig” — as the event is named on the restaurant’s Facebook page — Robert Miller, 32, was arrested for possessing anabolic steroids for sale and for driving his motorcycle on a suspended license. Miller was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on $30,000 bail; his motorcycle was impounded for 30 days. According to Hoover, authorities are investigating whether he was dealing drugs for a street gang.
