[Update: Jul. 5, 2023] Caltrans work scheduled to begin tonight, July 5, on two separate projects to replace the San Jose Creek Bridges on US 101 and State Route 217 near UC Santa Barbara in Goleta has been delayed. Construction is expected to begin on the Highway 101 project next week and State Route 217 the following week.

State Route 217 Project
The traveling public can expect a full overnight closure of State Route 217 on July 5 and July 6 from 10 pm to 6 am. This closure will allow for the installation of K-rail or protective barrier for highway workers. The following detours will be in place with signage to direct travelers:
