Whittier Fire Managers to Give 2 p.m. Presser Amid Changing Conditions
Incident commanders and their teams gather at Dos Pueblos High School, the site of incident command for the Whittier Fire, to go over Thursday evening's briefing.

After a cautionary Thursday evening commander's briefing that included warnings of dehydration as temperatures rise and confronting forecasted sundowner winds on Friday, a press conference will take place at 2 p.m. this Friday afternoon at incident command. Whittier Fire conditions, including evacuations, containment, and fire weather will be discussed, as well as insights into the rescue of 90 campers and their counselors from the Circle V Ranch Camp last Saturday, when the fire sprang to life.

The Independent will live stream the press conference on this page, as well as on the Indy's Facebook page.
